Fuck, is it morning already? Sorry, readers, I'm just not in the mood. I've got a real "hitch in my get-along," as my grandmother would say. I guess everyone else does too, because it's 11:11 AM EST (make a wish) and there's yet to be a GM post.
WEIRD VID
I've always loved the song "Tell Him," but I had no clue the video would be so bizarre. The Exciters were way ahead of their time.
CONOR STILL ROX IN 2009
Here's a vid of Conor Oberst on Conan. I know at least one OYIT writer will like this - as anyone who has last.fm knows, literally the only musician Glenn listens to is Conor (I'll let Jake make a Blind Melon joke). I get to see him (Conor, not Glenn) on the anniversary of our country's independence, July 4th. He's putting on a free concert with Jenny Lewis in NYC. I'm almost as excited for that as I am to get drunk and sing the national anthem 50 consecutive times.
READ THIS
I'm at work and have nothing better to do (except maybe actual work) than read Todd Purdum's lengthy article on Gov. Sarah Palin. Good lord am I thankful she's not our Vice President. Highlight so far:
When Trig was born, Palin wrote an e-mail letter to friends and relatives, describing the belated news of her pregnancy and detailing Trig’s condition; she wrote the e-mail not in her own name but in God’s, and signed it “Trig’s Creator, Your Heavenly Father.”
OKAY BYE
Bye!

Sarah Palin is crazy. That's what makes her so charming.
on her nominee for alaska’s attorney general:
"A flamboyant divorce lawyer who drives a big red Hummer with the vanity license plate 'WAR,' Ross is a good old boy of pithy expression and considerable charm."
DREAM CAR, ANYONE?!
That is a quote from erotica.
I saw Conor and his Mystic Valley band play that shit a few nights ago! It was great. The intimate experience that you will not have in New York City.
Glenn, I was there too! As you subsequently tweeted, a good time was had by all.
Also, the Palin article that came out yesterday on Politico is almost as good.
