Untertainment Weakly (3-9-12)

By Jake

“The Lorax” was a huge hit, making $70.7 million over the weekend.

Jeff Goldblum will be starring as Sarah Silverman’s ex-boyfriend in the pilot of Sarah Silverman’s new sitcom “Susan 313.”

Kirk Cameron Says Something Stupid: "Marriage was defined by God a long time ago. Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve -- one man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't."

Julia Stiles is heading to an NBC series called “Midnight Run” about an FBI cult specialist who investigates disappearances in a cult-like commune in Alaska.  This sounds good!

The President Talks Aziz Ansari: "Aziz Ansari... now this is big because Malia is a big 'Parks and Recreation' fan.  So having Aziz here is like the only thing she thinks is worth me doing. I want to thank him for what he said earlier. I know he's backstage, but I just want to say that I have more Twitter followers than you, man."

Janet Jackson has turned down “X-Factor.”  The reality show, not the super hero group.  Brittney Spears may join--the super hero group!

Universal is making a Ouija board movie.  Buy your tickets now!

Fox Canceled “Terra Nova.”  Netflix is looking on producing new episodes.

There’s already a bullshit sequel to the bullshit movie “Project X.”

Keri Russell is going to star in an FX pilot about a KGB spy living in Washington D.C. in the 1980s.

There’s a “Tooth Fairy 2” starring Larry the Cable Guy.

“Justified,” which is apparently a TV show, is getting a fourth season.

Jeff Ross and Andy Daly are both getting new shows on Comedy Central.

Dennis Wade's wife has filed with divorce.  Sorry to end the news section on such tragic news.

Matthew Perry Watch

On March 25, Matthew Perry will be guest starring on “The Good Wife.”  The episode is entitled “Blue Ribbon Panel.”  I know all of the Matthew Perry enthusiasts out there are as excited about this as I am.

Movies Out This Weekend
John Carter - I have no idea what “John Carter” is about.  I guess it’s a biopic, otherwise why would they use a person’s name as the title?  It just wouldn’t make any sense.  John Carter must be Jimmy Carter’s brother.  I think he lived in space.

Silent House - This silent movie is piggybacking on the award success of “The Artist.”  This silent horror movie is a remake of the psychedelic Japanese movie “Housu.”  This is a must-see movie that will probably score big during award season.  Enjoy!

  1. There is NO WAY you watched that many movies in one week. I don't think I've seen that many movies in my entire life!

I will think about watching Jeff Ross's show.
